LIVE from Calgary: Stockwell Day vs. Bruce Pardy debate one of the biggest questions facing Alberta:
Should Alberta leave Canada and become an independent country?
Stockwell Day will present the Stay case, arguing that Alberta should remain within Canada. Bruce Pardy, Professor of Law at Queen’s University and Executive Director of Rights Probe, will present the Leave case, arguing for an independent Alberta.
Moderated by Jason Lavigne, host of The Lavigne Show and author of Oh, Canada: What Have You Done?
The debate uses a chess-clock format: each participant receives 30 minutes of total speaking time, allowing for a direct one-hour exchange while ensuring equal time for both sides.
Following the debate, there will be written audience Q&A moderated by Jason Lavigne.
This is an open debate presenting both sides of the question. Whether you support Stay, support Leave, or remain undecided, the purpose is to hear the arguments and make up your own mind.
